Cork lining for the gears made from MR31, which is a mechanical grade, synthetic rubber/cork gasket.  Characteristics include:

Resistant to most lubrication fluids enabling this material to last longer and be more resilient than original corks.
Broad Temperature Range
Excellent Gasket Conformability under Low to Moderate Compression
Maximum recommended operating temperature in liquids of +110°C
