Spring steel blades are zinc plated which equals NO RUST and are harder than the stainless steel and hence will last longer.
We recomend wider spacings (20mm) for broadleaf grass like buffalo and Kykuyu and narrower spacing (12mm) for fine leaf grass like couch.

The OLD style Masport 400/500/660 reel & bottom blade holder are separate.
The NEW models, reel and blade come out in a cartridge.
